He studied chemistry at the Universities of Southampton and Oxford. Later, working at Brighton and Sussex Universities, he became interested in inorganic materials and organic polymers. Present interests are mainly in functional polymers and nanocomposites for energy conversion, organic optics & electronics, and drug delivery.
He led the Materials Research Group at Kingston University (1995-2008) and was Founding Director of the Materials Research Centre. He retired as full-time Professor of Materials Science in 2014, and now he is Emeritus Professor.
He currently supervise 3 PhD. students at Kingston, having previously directed 56 successfully-completed research students and 9 postdoc researchers. His research has been funded by EPSRC, the Royal Society, industry and government agencies, including a recent KTP (2013-15) worth Â£130k from Innovate UK.

Vakhtang Barbakadze has his expertise in isolation and structure elucidation of a new series of plant polyethers, which are endowed with pharmacological properties as anti-cancer agents. Besides, he interested in enantioselective synthesis and biological activities of basic monomeric moiety of these biopolyethers, synthesis of enantiomerically pure epoxides as chiral building blocks for the production of synthetic analogues of natural polyethers. He has completed his Ph.D and D.Sci. in 1978 and 1999 from Institute of Organic Chemistry, Moscow, Russia and Institute of Biochemistry and Biotechnology, Tbilisi, Georgia, respectively. He is the head of Department of plant biopolymers and chemical modification of natural compounds at the Tbilisi State Medical University Institute of Pharmacochemistry. 1996 and 2002 he has been a visiting scientist at Utrecht University, The Netherlands, by University Scholarship and The Netherlands organization for scientific research (NWO) Scholarship Scientific Program, respectively. He has published more than 98 papers in reputed journals

Govt. of India shows interests to develop her inventions for the benefits of public; since Dec-2014, she has delivered lectures (more than 120) in International / National scientific conferences, foreign countries and renowned institutes like National Institute of Technology, Anna University, Central University of all over India; she delivered Motivational Lectures for women, students and staff of institutes / Multi-national corporate companies (Cognizant Technologies); Artha Nyana Academy (Malaysia), Intelligent Society of Malaysia etc. NanoDigest, Economic Times and Telegraph have published news about her research; Thanthi TV, All India Radio, Minnal FM (Malaysia) and Bernama TV (Malaysia) have broadcasted her interviews.
Professor Dr. Mohammad Hadi Dehghani (Ph.D.) is a Full Professor at the Tehran University of Medical Sciences, School of Public Health, Department of Environmental Health Engineering, Tehran, IRAN. His scientific research interests include the Environmental Science and Nanotechnology. He is the author of various research studies published at national and international journals, conference proceedings and Head of several research project at the TUMS. He has authored 8 books and more than 150 full papers published in peer-reviewed journals. He is an editorial board member and reviewer in many internal and international journals and is member of several international science committees around the world. He has supervisor and advisor PhD and MSc theses at the TUMS. He is currently also a member of the Iranian Association of Environmental Health (IAEH) and member of the Institute for Environmental Research (IER) at the TUMS.
